My Dr. is out indefinately (freak out vent)

I've had one of those awful scenerios. My OBGYN, who I absolutely LOVE, injured his shoulder somehow and is now out of work indefinately. I'm freaking. Changing a Dr. halfway through my pregnancy is really stressing me out. I have an appointment with another Dr. in the practice but until I looked him up, I didn't even know he was a he! Ugh. Does anyone else go to Women's and Family Health Specialists in Renton? If you do/have do you know Dr. Lawrence? I'm not enjoying this experience right now. I'm searching everywhere online for infor on the new Dr. but it isn't the same as actually knowing him. I knew my original Dr. from my sister and knew he would be a great fit. I know NOTHING about this new one. Ok, I'm rambling, and freaking...I'll go now. Sorry...

  • My sister LOVES Dr. Fassler (man) and a gal at work loves Dr. McLennon (woman), both at that practice.

  • Dr. Fassler was my Dr. I LOVED him! He's the one who got hurt Sad
  • Oh poop!  Is Dr. McLennan still there?  My friend at work really loves her.  I used to go to Valley Women's Clinic, but the doctor I went to isn't there any more.  Wish I had more suggestions for you!
  • I went to Dr. Kipa at Valley Women's Clinic across the street from the hospital.  I LOOVE her!!  I live down south but I will definitely drive up there again for my next baby!!
  • I used to go to Dr. Lori Channel at Valley.  I loved her and was sad when I moved and had to change OB's.

  • I had Dr. McClennen but she left indefinately when I was 36 weeks. I had seen Dr. Brown before when she was out but went w/Dr.Jolly since she was the one on call the day my C-section was scheduled.  Dr. Lawrence end up assisting her in the surgery and he came and discharged me since Dr. Jolly went on vaca.  I also had Dr. Lawrence remove my staples.  I've decided I really really like Dr. Lawrence and wish I knew he was there from the get go.  I schedued my sons circ w/ him and will choose him from the beginning for baby # 2.  Hope that helps!  Good luck I know its stressful and the last thing you want to be dealing with right now

  • A friend of mine goes to Dr. Lawrence and loves him.  He was the first dr to actually help her with her PCOS.  Another friend goes to Dr. Brown there.  I just started going there last year and see Spieker.  She is an APRN so she won't be able to do L&D.  When I do get pg  will be seeing Lawrence.

  • I know how you feel. I had that same scare a month ago when I found out the insurance I have wasn't covered by my Dr and thought I would have to change. Hang in there. It will work out. I know it's not what you wanted, but you might be surprised and find out this Dr is just as good. GL! And ::HUGS::
  • Thanks ladies! You all helped me calm down over this situation. I'm hoping to stay at the practice in the vain attempt that one day my original Dr will be back. But if Dr. Lawrence doesn't work out, I will definately take all of your recommendations into consideration. Thanks for the Hugs llking!
