s/o of poll: finding old addresses

I have all but 2 of my last 14 addresses nailed down. I plowed through mapquest and at least found the streets I lived on, but still need to figure out what the street #s were.

Any tips on how I could find this information? I'm going to dig through old letters and cards tonight, but don't know if there's a website available to help me.

  • we were told at our retreat to get a copy of your credit report. It should have everything listed on there.

I can't believe how many places you have lived!

  • I didn't answer below, because I'm not entirely sure, but I think I've had about 13 or so addresses.  I also didn't remember them all completely accurately.  I just provided the information I had, minus the house/apartment numbers or zip codes.

I'm pretty sure that information is just used to run a check on the local databases in those areas to see if you have any history/allegations of child abuse.  Those kinds of checks are usually done on a city/town basis, so I don't think the specifics matter too much.  Just provide as much information as you have, and don't sweat it.

Really? I'm so freaked out about being complete and not stalling the process. I can even provide ZIP codes, just not apt. #s.

  • Credit report or tax returns (dh and I are anal and keep these things forever)

I was, too, and no one ever asked about the few missing pieces of information.  Just be as complete as you can.
