    Yes, that's the story!  The news i saw on TV had an interview with the mom while she was holding the baby, and they seemed like a sweet little family.  So apparently they got the story wrong (unless i was hearing things) since they said 8 days old (hard to believe) when this link says she's 77 days old - much more believable!
