I just got back from my Philips ultrasound. I was really looking forward to it because the last time I had a scan was when I was 18 weeks. So now baby is getting some fat on him and I really wanted.to see my little man. They told me it was going to be a big scan with about 8 or so other pregnant women. It was this huge class full of techs with tables and scan equipment. When I got paired up with my team of techs I knew it wasn't going to be good. I was at the only table with one pillow so I had to ask for another one. Then when they started scanning me they were the only ones that weren't following the workshop, and they were the only team that didn't have the screen turned so the Mom could also see what they were scanning.
A lady brought by the CD at the beginning to put pictures of baby on there for me when they were done. Once they finished up, that same lady walked by and said to put my pics on a CD. They said, "Oh we didn't take any pictures." I could feel the tears welling up in my eyes. Then the same lady who gave them the disk said, "Well let me scan her so we can get Mom some pictures to take home." They wouldn't let her scan me. So they got one picture of half of his face on a disk. I know I get paid for doing it, and I am not trying to complain but I was really looking forward to seeing my little man, especially in 3d. Once I got to the car, the water works started. It was so weird too because I normally get anywhere from 6-10 pictures.
Re: I am in tears right now!

I was thinking this too but I don't want to seem rude since I get paid for going. You know what I mean?? But it was a little tough. Now that I have calmed down I have just been starring at the one picture I did get of DD. I can't get enough of how much he really looks human now. I just love his baby cheeks.
while they were doing it, did you ask them to move the monitor so you could see???
weird that they weren't doing what they were supposed to be doing. Jerks.
Part of the compensation for your time are those images. If you didn't get a good image, or didn't receive the images that you thought you were getting, then you weren't fully compensated for your time. I would call. Or at least make sure you get different techs next time.
And I agree with Jill, they are jerks!

I'm sorry you had a bad experience and hopefully you'll get another opportunity but remember that this is a learning or training opportunity for them using you as a model and they can't promise anything. I wish they had done something different to make your experience better. I'll pass along the feedback. You didn't get your table number or anyone's name, did you?
