What do you think of the name?

Does it work w/ Kylie?

I absolutely love the name Emily but I don't know that I want to go w/ a name that's that popular. DH has finally given me a few suggestions (he said it was my choice this time since he chose DD's name) and mentioned Julie, which was one of my top names at some point..

It's nms. I'd prefer it as a nn for Julia, Juliana or Juliette.

I also think Julie sounds a bit dated. I much prefer Juliette. I looks and sounds more complete and is way less plain.

I like Julie a lot! I was almost named Julie. I also like Juliet too, but Juliette looks so over the top. I like Julie more than Julia because I generally am not attracted to names that end in a. It's a name that everyone knows, but it isn't strange and she won't have multiple Julies in her class. I say go for it!

I like Julie.  "Julia" is the new "Julie" (if that makes sense), so Julie is an unexpected throwback nowadays.  There's something about Juliet I don't like.  Julianne might be a more modern option that fits with Kylie.

I think Julie and Kylie are cute together. But would you be able to find an "ie" ending, 2 syllable name that you like if you were to have a 3rd girl? Not that it matters that much but it would be something I would have noticed had I been the 3rd with a "different" name from my two older siblings. Craziness, I know.

I love Julie and all variations thereof. If we weren't having a fall baby (Autumn tops our list now), Julie would be on the top!
