A month maybe? We got everything done and then the SW let us know that she had everything she needed from us about a month later. We're in SoCal if that helps.
Yeah, I think (THINK!) these are sent off through each state -- so it'll vary. Our SW told us there was a major backup when we submitted ours, so we were expecting it. The good news is, once you're in the scanned system, you're in! So if for some reason you need to have them pulled again, they're there.

Ha ha, not so! As a teacher, I have to be scanned at EVERY single district I've worked in! I've had an old fashioned 10 card and been live scanned 10+ times
One week. We had to do it for the state and then I also had to go to my local PD for fingerprinting for a different state since I lived there in the past five years - they also used the live scan technology (that's where my tax dollars have gone I suppose).

That's really werid because the guy who did our scan (we were his only customer that night) was telling us about the system and how if for some reason the results were to get lost if we needed the results again in the future that we could use the number given on receipt and they could be pulled again in the future.
We were told the same thing as Jacks...as long as we kept track of the little code, we could retrieve our results for future needs at any time. But if we lost the code, they wouldn't look us up, we would have to be re-printed.
Re: Live Scan: How long did your results take to come back?
