I was at the hospital last night with contraction 5 min apart.? But, they ended up sending us home because the nurse thought I was just in early labor. She told me to go home and walk.??

FYI-If they offer you a sleeping pill like Ambien, do NOT take it on an empty stomach!? They wanted to send me home with an Ambien so I could sleep through the contractions.? We got down to the car and realized I had left my phone in the room.? I wanted to go back and get it because I knew I needed the walking.? I got back up there, got my phone, and stopped at the nurse's station.? I asked my nurse if I was supposed to already be feeling weird.? She said yes. ?I literally felt like I was drunk!? I couldn't walk straight and I was walking into walls.? My mom was driving us home because she was going to spend the night with us.? I told her I needed something to eat (I had not eaten since 2:00 because I had such a big lunch with girlfriends).? So, we went to the gas station so I could get a snack.? I don't even remember being in there.? And when I got in the car, I could not sit still and I started feeling really weird. ?By the time we got home, I threw up in the front yard.? Not a pretty sight.? I took a shower and finally got in bed.? I woke up at 12:30 this afternoon and have been feeling groggy ever since.??

I'm not taking another sleeping pill, AGAIN!? Miserable!

I'm wondering when he's going to make his arrival and wondering if I will make it through the week.

When I got there and she checked me, she said I was at a 3, 75% effaced, and my cervix was soft.? Before she discharged me, she checked again and there hadn't been much change, but she said she stretched my cervix.? So, maybe that got things going.? We shall see!

I can't believe they gave you an ambien to take before you got home. I've been taking ambien off and on through out this pg (even before getting pg) b/c of sleeping issues. I would never ever take it without being home and in my bed. Not to mention they should have told you to eat something since you hadn't had dinner. That's just crazy.

I'm sorry you got sent home. That just stinks. Are you still having contractions?

yes, I am still having contractions but they are not close together. ?She knew that I had not eaten since 2:00 so I don't know why they didn't tell me to eat something!?

Ugh that is so annoying. Labor dust to both of us. I've been dealing with contractions going from 2-3 minutes apart for a few hours then almost nothing to 5 min apart and back and forth. I'm about to go crazy. Hopefully both of us will go into active labor soon.

Sorry that you were discharged. I took an Ambien and I thought it was great! I had not eaten either...it knocked me out mostly. I was told that the nurse had to accompany me out of bed and to the bathroom, so that surprises me they did not warn you about having that drunken feeling.

Sorry that it was a false alarm! But at least you know that you are already so far along! That was me and I went into labor shortly after! Hopefully what she did "stripped your membranes" and you will be back up there shortly!! Can't wait to meet Langston! Karsyn wants to play with him!

I'm glad to see an update...I had to text the girls when I saw your post last night!

I thought maybe it was buying the car seat and seeing Karsyn that stirred up the labor dust

Thanks for the update Jamie! Maybe Langston decided that Daddy really needed to make his appt today for the cast. Hope he chooses a good time to come!

i've been having false labor for the last few weeks....  so i can definitely sympathize!

hope the real thing come quickly for both of us
