NBR: I'm in over my head :(

Just a rambling vent: 

So when we bought our house, I knew that we would have to redo the bathroom and paint before we moved in, but before I knew it a few more projects got added.

We are redoing hardwood floors, we found out that the original hardwood floors are under the crappy carpet, so we've decided to refinish them before we move in.

Apparently DH wants to redo the kitchen as well...I disagree, we'll see what happens.

I know our house will be lovely when all this is finished, but right now I'm just overwhelmed and want to move in!

    I feel you!!!  We just bought a house that is 2 years old and we are adding in hardwood floors, all new carpet, new paint throughout the entire house, an island, and tiling all the bathrooms.  It is so overwhelming when you look at it, but one thing at a time and you will get through it!  And when you are all done it will be beautiful, and it will be yours!!

    We've been under some kind of construction since we got married in 2005 so I feel your pain. We stayed in a hotel for week when I was 8 months pregnant when our floors were refinished. 

    It is great great great to do it before you move in - especially with a kiddo!

    Yikes!  I hope you have a good contractor!  If not I have a name for you!  We just totally redid our master bath. It took about 4 weeks to do with guys working every day all day if that gives you a realistic timeline for stuff like this.  Hang in there I know how rough it can be!

    Some part of my house has been under construction since we moved in and everytime we start a new one I freak out and tell DH I don't want to start another one.  Then the current one gets finished and we start dreaming and planning the next and I get excited about the end product and we begin again.  I know its rough when you just feel like everything is out of order but it will be worth it in the end...just hang in there!
