Mileage plan question

I am wondering when traveling with minors if you can claim their mileage?  I would like to either get his points or start his own, but can't find info on Alaska's websight.

    On Alaska you can as long as you're purchasing a seat for DS.  Jack has his own plan!

    I just signed DS up for his own Alaska Mileage account since we bought him a seat to the East Coast.  You just have to use your email address. Sign out of your account then chose sign up and enter your DCs info.

    I don't thik you can put his miles on your account, but he can have his own account.  Ben's got his own on Alaska, United and SW.
