1.My toddler is getting really dry skin on his face and even some pimples. What soap and moisturizer do you use if any? I don't have a toddler, but you might try Cetaphil. It's sold in most drug and grocery stores and is what my dermatologist recommends.

6.for those with smaller cars (like a toyota corolla) - what car seats do you use and how do they fit? We have a Honda and we use the Graco infant seat - it's tight, but it fits.
7.Does your dc get very cranky right before bedtime? What do you do sooth dc or do you get dc in bed earlier? Yes - and we're going to bed pretty early - so it's just a matter of rocking her until she calms down and falls asleep.

Did you worry if they'd be "bad" at first and would get kicked out (ie, won't nap on their schedule, etc). My SIL is my day care - so we just spent a lot of time with her before she started watching M full time (at 4.5 months). I tooootally stress when Maddy has bad days - because I don't want any family hard feelings if SIL feels like she's too much to handle but doesn't want to say anything.
9.When does the bald spot go away? Still waiting for that.

TTC #2 for a million years: SA normal, CD 23 bloodwork shows nothing amiss, ovulation detected. Next step: ? maybe CD3 bloodwork to check eggs? All out of pocket, so limited IF tests/treatments.

Ads sleeping habits have changed a bit now that Jas is home during the day. However, she still goes down at about 8 with only a few seconds of protest. It is just later then it use to be.

At two months we were not really worried she would not sleep or beat up the other kids.

Naps are always more difficult than bedtime. Haven't had any problems with going to bed - it's staying asleep which is the hard part.

Always has been and I'm convinced that most kids are the same way. We try to stay in-tune with the kids during this time and keep them entertained before bath and bed. If the kids are super cranky, I'll start their bedtime routine earlier.

Did you worry if they'd be "bad" at first and would get kicked out (ie, won't nap on their schedule, etc). Both were between 8-12w old when they first went to daycare. I took them in a couple of times for half-days prior to their first full week to get used to the daycare provider and their routine. The first few weeks are rough, for everyone, but it gets better. Generally speaking, I think they like going to daycare - it's more fun than staying at home with boring old mom and dad. Daycares understand that napping and finding new routines are difficult - but should work with the kids until they figure it out.

I don't put soap on dd's face but there might be traces of it on the face cloth from washing her hair and neck. We usually use aquaphor or aveeno for a moisturizer when she has dry spots.

At 3 months and putting dd to sleep when she's pretty tired but not overly tired is the trick. It gets better. First signs she gives is being cranky and whinny. Play with her for another 10 minutes and put her down. She's usually exhausted but not overly and she falls asleep.

Probably spend $30-$50 in food, entertainment could be $20 at most because with a kid, it's rare except to rent dvds from blockbuster and I don't really need to buy gifts often. Kaylin has always been a good sleeper. I don't remember her needing to learn to fall asleep on her own. She sometimes falls asleep in less than 5 minutes and other times takes up to 15 minutes. As long as she was not crying, I let her be. But we also have nights where she needs a little extra help getting to sleep. I just go with the flow... sorry not much help!

I pumped bottles for her so probably less than if you are giving formula bottles but DD ate her most at about 5 months old. She would drink 4-5 oz bottles at that point. She never took more than 5oz in a bottle feeding.

Food & Household items is $600 per month (including diapers). Gas is $400 per month. We don't have an entertainment category... that goes into misc. in our budget. I would guess maybe $100 per month depending on what is included. Gifts are $25 per month (not including gifts for each other as those come from our personal spending accounts.
6.for those with smaller cars (like a toyota corolla) - what car seats do you use and how do they fit? We have a Ford Fusion... not sure if that counts as a smaller car. We used the Chicco Keyfit 30 when DD was small and now use the Britax Marathon.

I just do my best to anticipate her needs and get her in bed as quickly as possible. I skip a bath on those nights. We still nurse at night and that always soothes her to sleep.

I just make up for it on the week-ends by being very protective of her naptimes.

I did worry at first I was sure that he was screaming all day long. And every time I got there in the evening they said he was happy and napped good so now I don't worry about it.

She started going to sleep on her own after we did Ferber at one year. It took about a month some nights she would cry for 1-2 hours some nights she would just cry for a few minutes. Now she asks to be put to bed (don't know how long that'll last).

Jacob has recently started to get red and dry cheeks...my MIL said her other son had this and the Dr called it "allergy cheeks" I might go get it checked out...if there is something I can do about it, I'd like to know..someone suggested childrens Claritin (sp)

We invited quite a few, probably 25-30 people, but they were mostly family and our friends. We don't have extended family in the area so only Caden's g'ma and g'pas and aunts and uncles.

We had a harder time with naps than night time, but once we let him CIO it only took 3-4 nights to get him going down on his own.

I never worry about Caden getting kicked out, she doesn't really do that, but I know that sharing is a hard concept right now and there is some hitting and biting going on, but not just from him

Naps had always been harder than bedtime. Lately though on the weekends, naps are a 2 hour ordeal to get her to fall asleep. We always let her fall asleep in our arms, until a few months back (for bedtime) and then she just transitioned right into being sleepy and staying lying down. (We do stay in the room until she is asleep though, that helps SO much!)

gas is ALOT since DH drives to Seattle everyday. Food is our biggest expense. It helps alot if we make a list and go big shopping every week, but we never stick to that. We've never had a budget though. We would like to though to actually pay down some debt and see exactly where all our money goes.

lol, yes! She started at 14 weeks. SHe was such a spoiled child, (rocked/nursed to sleep for naps etc....) and she refesed to take a bottle, so I was so worried how she'd handle daycare! She did great though. Never a big eater there, but she loved the kids and loves the teachers. Still does too! (We've never had any sort of tantrums when leaving....just when picking her up and she wants to stay....

He does fall asleep on his own sometimes, usually during the night after we do a feeding. For naps in his crib, I will lay him down awake and then sit where he can't see me. I'll wait until he starts to cry and then pat him and sometimes cover his eyes. It takes awhile, usually he'll lay there and look around and chatter for a good 20 minutes before we do the patting, but sometimes he starts to fuss pretty quickly. Naps are definitely harder than night time for us.

I probably spend $50-100 per week on groceries, about a tank of gas a week, and then I'd say we spend maybe $20-40 on entertainment a week, usually a weekend meal or two out. Gifts are kind of random, I can go a month without buying any and then have a month where we have a lot to buy.

So far not too bad, a little fussy but we try to get him in bed as soon as he shows tired signs and try not to let him be up more than two hours at a time. We always do the same routine when putting to bed and then pat his chest to help him fall asleep if needed (which it usually is!).

I go back to work July 1 but DS won't be in day care until Sept. 1st. Our day care naps infants on their own schedule so I'm not worried that he has to sleep on their timetable yet.

We typically spend between 150 and 175 on food, but we also shop at WINCO, it's a lot cheaper and we buy stuff in bulk when possible. We always shop sales.

which had the infant carrier. It fit in both cars fine, but it was tough for someone to ride in the front seat of the coupe. When we got the convertible seat, we got this one 
and we could only use it in DH's car til she could face forward. Forward facing we all three fit in the coupe comfortably.
