I like that idea! I would probably not paint the girl's nursery pink, but maybe do a pale green to match the bedding. But I the little birds!

Honestly, I haven't looked.  I can't bring myself to pick anything out because i feel like I might jinx it (I know that's not rational).

I think I will wait until I get my BFP to think about it more.  I'm trying to talk my husband into waiting to find out the sex, so maybe it will be greens and yellows? Or something like Kdodge picked out that could be for either

It is so expensive though. DH and I aren't sure whether or not it is worth the money, I guess we will know when the time comes.

I honestly haven't even looked at the price tags on mine. I am praying both of my parents will want to go nuts on their 1st grandchild, and thus, naturally try to one up each other on who can give us the most!  I kidd!

 I'm actually tempted to buy it at only $70, but there is a buy it now option, so I don't think it's going anywhere (though it goes up with the buy it now option).

I totally agree. I know it's not rational either but I'm so afraid to jinx myself I won't even look at baby stuff. I do like light green and brown together though.

I have seen baby bedding with John Lennon's art on it called "Real Love":

As for us...we're going gender neutral since we hope to have a second baby soon after the first (I am not getting any younger) and plan to go with a retro modern feel with greens, yellows, orange and brown with pops of turquoise and red. I am not going with the bumper-quilt thing and just plan to make my own crib skirt and coordinating curtains, pillows for the floor and rocker and use solid sheets in the crib with sleep sacks for baby.

I am obsessed with these cute owl prints and will plan our "theme" loosely around a them.  We plan to re-purpose furniture we already own and DIY a lot of the decor.

my friend just did this for her little girl's nursery. they painted it a super pale minty green.

this is the crib (for all my kids, i don't like different colors for boys and girls and i hate pink) and it will have solid off-white bedding.
