Hot mama: Kate Gosselin flaunted her bikini bod while vacationing with her eight kids (and bodyguard Steve Neild) at Bald Head Island, NC, Sunday. (A free tummy tuck was among the many perks the 34-year-old reality star received as a result of shooting the hit TLC show Jon & Kate Plus 8.)

Kate and Co. arrived in the N.C. resort town by ferry earlier this week -- along with camera crews. (The Pennsylvania labor department is currently investigating whether the TLC show is complying with the state's child labor laws.)

?They were so normal,? Amanda Jones, an employee at island gift shop Riverside Adventure Co., told local paper The Star-News.

She added that 8-year-old twins Cara and Madelyn picked up two shark?s teeth and silly putty. ?They paid for their own things," said Jones.

Their shopping trip was quick: ?It was very, let?s get in and out,? Jones said. ?It was like, please don?t take note of us.?

Missing from the trip? Jon Gosselin. He was last spotted at an upstate New York bar with two women on Memorial Day.

I guess they're not even trying to keep up appearances. Jon's been with the 2 women (the ones he was spotted with on MD) the entire weekend. They were all shopping together.

I wish I could look like that after 3 kids---hmmm maybe one i can have surgery....

Yes, I did know about the tummy tuck. But geez, even the rest of her looks pretty good.

It is sad they're not together. Aren't they in counseling or something? I wonder if there's any chance they'll make it through?

Ditto. I do hope to get a tummy tuck in a couple years to remove the "twin skin" I expect to have (and am scared of!)..... and could look that good if i had the money and time for a personal trainer and the stupidity to go tanning all the time....

she does look good- but so do most people who are trying to be celebs.

1.  Anyone that is given a free tummy tuck could look decent after kids.

2.  I do hate that they arent together for the kids sake but geez why would Jon want to stay with him?  Did anyone not pay attention to how horrid she treated him on the show?  If that is how she was on screen imagine how it was when the camera was off!!  I dont blame him though I do think it is wrong to be out with 2 women while still married. 

3.  Of course poor lil Kate hasnt taken her ring off.  She is using that as a way to gain sympathy.  She wants to work things out so the show wont die.  Seriously...are they going to keep the show if they divorce?  Kate the divorcee + 8?  how a single mom keeps it all together with 2 sets of multiples?  Please, anyone with her money could.  Take away her money, all her hired help and she would crumble.  You can see she doesnt handle stress well.  Esp on her own with all the kids. 

4.  I wish Kate would just go away.  The kids are adorable and I really hate how this show has ripped their family apart.  Esp for Maddy and Cara.  But really, Kate step out of the limelight and take care of your family.  Plus, Im kinda bored with them anyways.

Yes, she did have a tummy tuck. But look at the rest of her body! Her legs look great (imo) and so do her arms. She wasn't all pulled together by doctors... some of that body is obviously from hard work.

Yeah, with a free tummy tuck and some intense tanning (hello skin cancer!) I could look like that, too!!  Who has time to tan with all those kids, LOL?!

That's a result of having hired help raise the kids while she's out at the gym and tanning bed. I can barely make it to the gym with one kid, so I can't see how she has that much time on her hands with 8, but who am I to judge?? She basically said it all on the episode last week when she said her kids called her by the nanny's name.

Also, I may be mistaken, but I do think I remember seeing them do some liposuction in addition to the tummy tuck...
