There is a cat in heat outside our house

She's wailing away.... its kind of disturbing - so we made the TV louder - but how do we make her go away?  Letting the dog out seems mean.

    unfortunatly nothing you can do will make her stop.  Hopefully she will leave your area soon. 
    Not sure what direction we are headed. Either way, I am up for the ride.

    Can you bring the dog out on a leash?  Maybe it would scare her away - but is less "mean" than just letting the dog out?

    We only have a shock collar for her... so I don't think that will work.

    I know how you feel!  Once every couple of weeks we deal with the same thing, but we have no dog.  There are many stray cats in our neighborhood.
