Pregnant after a Loss

anyone else with anterior placenta?

I found out I had one at my 20 week u/s--I had kind of suspected it though b/c I hadn't felt any movement or flutters or anything. ?Now at 22 weeks, I still don't feel much. ?I do get what I can only describe as muffled taps--but nothing I could really say was a for sure kick or punch. ?I'm so jealous of the movement everyone else feels!?

Is there anyone else this far who hasn't felt very much yet??

Re: anyone else with anterior placenta?

  • I also have an anterior placenta and know how you feel.  At my 18 week appt I really hadn't felt much, but the doctor didn't really blame the placenta for lack of movement, just said it was still a little early.  Now I am just about 24 weeks and def feel movement and can even see my stomach move at times.  I had also gotten much much stronger!  So it will come anterior placenta or not!

  • I really havent felt anything STRONG until the last couple weeks......and even then the movement is still stronger on the sides of my stomach!
  • I have an anterior placenta. I feel the baby all the time, but we still occasionally have a hard time finding a strong heart beat on the doppler. It kinda stinks but whatever as long as the baby is healthy!!
  • At my 12 week NT scan ultrasound the tech said that I had one.  She said that I probably would not feel anything until about 20 weeks.  Thanks for posting this.  I am curious to read the responses.
  • I found out at my 20 week u/s that I had one as well, I usually can feel the kicks around my belly button or super low. It sucks because DH won't be able to feel the kicks for longer but at least baby is healthy...
