Dh threw that out as a middle name today. While I like it, I keep thinking flower child.

I love both names, but don't know about together. Be honest, It doesn't bother me.

Autumn Brooke sounds like a song on a nature cd. Or the product of two very hippy parents.

I think those types of names need to be paired with a name that is not a noun.    ie Stephanie Brooke (I know a child with this name). 

add'n:  I would pair Autumn with a middle name that has three syllables ie. Autumn Isabella.

Autumn is a for sure..it's between that and Amy.

We're stuck on middle names though.

I just keep thinking

Brooke= stream. Autumn = fall. The two together are just too earthy for me maybe?

I love it, but my DH would totally say its wayyy to hippy. I liked Willow, Meadow, Brooke, and a few others but DH threw em out the window. If you and your DH love it, than go for it!! I thinks it very very nice.

i don't think it sounds hippie like at all because they're both pretty mainstream names. i don't think it flows very well together, though.

If you both like it, then go for it!  But, personally I think hippie first.  What about Autumn Elizabeth...

It sounds like Autumn is describing Brooke. Autumn Elizabeth is better for me. Very pretty.

Being an Amy, I vote for Autumn. Just as an aside.

It's a bit "earthy" sounding.

I looooove the name Amy. If we ever have another girl, I want to name her Amy Ramona or Amy Rae (even though that's an Indigo Girl's name, so that makes it rather "earthy" too!).

How about Autumn Renee?

I like Autumn, but not with Brooke.  It sounds too much like Meadow Dawn or something...

I personally like hippie names, but to me Brooke is really 80's yuppie while Autumn is hippie...they don't really go together IMO.  In fact, they're almost a contradiction.
