If my mom says this one more time to me I'm going to scream.
?
Every time I mention something I like for the twins' nursery, a stroller, carseat etc. she looks at the price and says "you know, there's two..." ?I KNOW! ?Just because my babies are coming together doesn't mean I have to pick the absolute cheapest of EVERYTHING for them! ?I'm being careful and not making crazy extravagant choices or anything. ?I don't expect any one person to buy two carseats as a gift, and DH and I are preparing financially.
?
Sorry guess I just needed to vent! ? I've gotten a lot of the other common comments about having multiples and I can usually smile through even the fertility drug question(despite it's extremely personal nature) but this one is really getting to me!
Re: "You know, there's two..." DUH.
My mom "reminded" me of that a number of times and I always said, "a registry is a suggested. I'm not putting a gun to anyone's head and don't expect to get everything."
that said: we just decided to find somethings used - jumperoo, exersaucer, bouncy seats (toys, basically). That way, they weren't on my registry and had a better chance of getting the things I wanted new: highchairs, carseats, stroller, bedding, etc.
good luck!
oh no! hopefully everyone else will be less annoying to you about it! actually, there isnt two of everything... and people can always give you gift cards to put towards items they cant fully afford but want to help you get. you should register for items you would actually pay the price for and buy yourself. thats my theory. otherwise you wont be happy! i went to a shower where the girl had registered for the dumbest most expensive items ever-- she got lots of gift cards!
about natural vs fertility... it gets old... and i am really open about everything in my life...
its cool to vent... you have to!
