So..as much as I would love to, we don't have the money to have our carpets professionally cleaned. We have a pretty good carpet shampooer, but I'm wondering if using a different/better shampoo would help. We've only been here a year and we cleaned them about six months ago and they're looking really ucky again (What do I expect with two long hair cats, a black medium hair dog, and a crawling baby?

)
Re: any good carpet shampoo recommendations??
I think the Rug Doctor does a great job. We rent it from the local Safeway for about $26 for 24 hours.
