I have one in there now but DS only naps in his crib. Still undecided if I will keep it up by the time he sleeps in there for the night. By that time he will probably be rolling and able to move his head a lot better so my guess is I probably will.
Nope. We have the mattress pad cover, fitted sheet and then Ultimate Crib Sheet over that. Nothing more, nothing less. But we also went for a simple look in the nursery.

Nope and I won't either. One day Kelsey scooted herself all the way up against the railing and if the bumper was up, it is possible she could have suffocated.
nope. I tried it one day after ds kept pushing himself into the edge of the crib, but I went in to check on him and he had his arm over the top of it his face planted in it. no more after that.
It was on the crib until DD started sleeping in there at night. I took it off. I will get a breathable once she starts rolling but will put the cute one back on when she is past the SIDS scary age!
Yep and I'm 100% fine with it. When he's swaddled he doesn't move. At 3 weeks he was rolling over, and now he is almost rolling all ways at over 4 weeks. He lifts his head and moves his face away from anything that might obstruct his breathing. He frequently sleeps on tummy during the day which is probably why he has such great head/neck strength and is able to roll over.
Anyway - if I didn't think he would move his face then I would probably remove them.
Nope. I would have, but our crib has a solid back, so there's nowhere to tie the bumper to in the back. I would have taken it out once she started moving though.
No--I bought one and had it on before he was born. I thought for sure I would use it. When he arrived and we put him in the crib, I was too scared to risk it...crazy!

On the outside of the crib? Good idea. I'm afraid of M getting his arms twisted in the rungs.
So do we. I got it once DS started rolling and his arms and legs would be hanging out of the crib.
Ditto. Her real crib bedding (she's in a portable crib now) has one, though... not sure if I'll use it.
