Post partum sex

Do you have to wait to be "cleared" by your OB or just wait the 6 weeks?  My first PP apt isn't until I'm nearly 8 weeks PP.  Do I need to wait untl I see the dr before I can have sex?

    I didn't wait for the doctor's okay.  I think I was near 6 weeks pp before we did though.

    I think it's recommended since there could be an issue that you can't see, but I don't think it's required. If you're feeling up to it, then why not?!?
