How are you holding up? I always noticed your HG blinkie...I had it for all 3 pregnancies, although it was not nearly as bad for my second. I'm still struggling to feel back to myself. Hope you're feeling well! Congrats on #3!

Re: daisyadair

  • Thank you!  I feel much better.  I know everyone says pregnancy isn't a medical condition or an illness, but my body reacts to it that way.  I just feel sick - almost flu-like.  Between the constant throwing up and feeling like I have the flu, it's not a pleasant time for me.

The big thing that's still giving me grief is my hip and back.  They're pretty sure my pelvis cracked with this pregnancy and caused inflammation all through my lower back and left hip.  I can still barely walk.  But, now I can have the MRI, find out WTH is wrong, and work to fix it.

My blood work is all messed up from malnutrition from the HG.  Have you had your blood checked?  My hematocrit, hemoglobin, iron and a few other things were so messed up they almost didn't let me out of the hospital.  But, I'm seeing a hematologist for it, so they decided to let me go and get treated.  They're going to try a few iron infusions, but I might need a full blood transfusion.  If you haven't, you should ask for a full CBC work up with the entire iron/anemia panel (there are a bunch of parts to the iron panel that aren't done normally).  Iron supplements won't help me.  I give myself B12 shots, but it's not enough.  If you still feel lousy, you should ask for that full panel to see if it's something there causing it.

I hope you feel better soon!

  • I had similar problems with my pelvis/hips. I couldn't move the last 8 weeks of pregnancy, and then for quite awhile after having the baby. I went to the chiro 3 times a week, sometimes more. It was helpful. I haven't gone in awhile now--I really just haven't had the time. I also haven't had my blood checked since I was like 10 weeks postpartum. Everything was improving at that point, and most things were at a normal level, but I feel like I have just crashed since then. I am going to go in soon to have everything rechecked. I do take liquid iron, and several b supplements every day, which do help, but don't necessarily make me feel like myself (I keep thinking it may just be the 3 under 3 thing? I don't know). Thanks! Enjoy your baby :)
