Babies: 0 - 3 Months

s/o Mother's Intuition

Seriously listen to it!  I was on the phone with my SIL tonight telling her how excited I am for C to start daycare on Monday - weird right?

And she said that she wasn't surprised at all because of the way I was so upset everyday with the nanny that we had.. I posted a few times about how she was upsetting me and she just wasn't getting it.

Poor Cami had taken to screaming from the time I handed her over until the time I took her back and it was getting to be too much.  My gut was right about her.. not that she's a bad person, but she was an AWFUL caregiver for an infant.

I feel so crappy for trying to stick it out with her.  I say all this to reiterate - trust your instincts!!

  • I am soooo happy you are taking her somewhere else.  I know you were miserable.  I wouldn't want a child to be miserable with a caretaker, and you are going to be so much calmer while working knowing that your daughter is somewhere more comforting, balanced, etc.

seriously thank you so much.  I had gone back and forth for so long and I thought I was going to go crazy today thinking about wanting to be around her but wanting her to be in good hands.. I am so lucky the daycare called today and pushed the decision in that direction. It was like divine intervention.

  • my mom has always said never to question your gut... good for you!

I'm glad you've found better care and someone else you feel trustworthy with your DD. :)

I think you'll get so much more work done, too (you work from home, right?)  I do, too, and while I love the 2 days a week she's home w/me I can't get ANYTHING done!  GL
