  • I live in Santa Barbara County which is just north of it. All of our counties are actually pretty small it seems like. If you move there stay in Ventura or Camarillo. Not Oxnard.

  • Oh really....good advice.

What about that Oija valley or something like that...is that a nice place

  • LOL i always forget about Ojia. Yeah it's nice, it's a tiny bit east, not right on the ocean like Ventura. There is good weather year round, you're about an hour from LA and Burbank area. 3 or so hours to San Diego. Always tons of porposes right off the coast. You also have the harbor that goes to the Channel Islands in Ventura.
  • Ojia has an amazing spa at this resort they have there...just so you know lol
  • Oh sweet...I am having such anxiety moving. We haven't made a final decision yet but it is looking good. We have no family there and I have a childhood friend in LA. But I am so scared to move...I guess it is change. I also would have to take my Hygiene license again. I'd need a patient which suxs because I don't know anyone....

Im so torn. I don't want Ella to grow up with out family around but on the otherhand my DH would be in a better position.

  • Yeah, it would be a change from the east coast. I will totally be your patient if you need one lol. I was my friends when she did her testing. I have good teeth, no cavities hahaha.

I really like the central coast. I'm about 45min away from Ventura. There are lots of fun things to do outdoors here and the weather is nice 99% of the time.

  • WHat about earthquakes???

  • Earthquakes last MAYBE 10seconds. I don't think they're scary at all but that's me. Usually you don't feel them. I mean I'd take earthquakes over snow storms, hurricanes, tornados, and all that lol.
  • And we don't have 'earthquake season' like other places have seasons lol.
  • I'm in Ventura county too! Britti is right- if you are moving here, stay out of Oxnard. I love Camarillo and Ventura and Santa Barbara though, they are all gorgeous. I'm a 15ish minute drive from Camarillo.

I don't live in Ventura CO, but I have clients there.  Ojai is HOT...stick closer to the coast if you can.
