Sorry I didn't get back to you till now. Of course by the time I gave up it was time to pump, then she needed to eat again. She of course went to bed for real at her regular bed time of a little after 8.
Yes, we do swaddle her. I use the SwaddleMe and have since she was about 5-6 weeks old when she got too strong for the regular blankets.
I'm at work all day, DH is an architect. When I was 7 months pg he had the bright idea of quitting his good-paying job which in turn forced me to go back to work after DD was born. I still resent him for it in a lot of ways. He now only brings in a small fraction of his previous salary with the few clients he can get. Yeah, go out on your own in the worst real estate time in a generation... DH isn't one for using his head. What he does with her all day I have no idea. I know he tries to work at the computer and hold her the whole time thinking she's getting sleep that way. When I get him to try something he'll do it for a day and go back to just ignoring her needs.
So when I get home at 5:30 she is exhausted and cranky. Enough so I never get to see her happy, I get to feed/change her, give her a bath and put her to bed. I get to go to bed stressed out from work and depressed. Fun fun fun.
