GBS test - no big deal whatsoever.

Just a PSA - if you're worried about the Group B Strep test, it's seriously no big deal. If you can handle a pap, this is way easier.

The internal, on the other hand, was a little uncomfy. She had to reach waaayyyy up there to feel anything. And then of course, no dilation. Oh well!

  • I agree it wasnt bad at all.?
  • I agree- no biggie..
  • Guess I should have checked before I posted my thread.
I agree. I had mine today, and didn't even feel it. I was like "That was it?"

On a side note. Anyone know how long it takes to get results?

  • I agree.  I didn't even feel the q-tip and it lasted about 2 seconds.  I wasn't even sure she had done anything until I saw her hand the swab off to her medical assistant.  I'm having an internal next week and I'm terrified.  I tend to go real light headed and dizzy after a regular pelvic exam so I can't imagine how my body will react to this....I just hope I don't faint on the exam table.!
