Hospital Bag ?

I don't know if this seems silly to anyone but ...should I pack my breast pump incase I meet with a lactation specialist at the hospital?? I figured she should be able to show me how to use it cuz I'm pretty clueless.

I am. Since I will have to pump when i go back to work I want to know that I'm doing it right. Also they might be able to help if you need a bigger flange size.

I'm not packing mine. I think the hospital has ones you can use while you're there if necessary - though that may vary by hospital. And I don't think you'll really be pumping until your milk comes in about 3 days after delivery - but I could be wrong.

Not a silly question at all.  I needed to use mine with DD and had to have DH bring it from home.  (however I was in the hospital for 5 days)  But most hospitals have one there that you can use. ( I did until I got mine from home) They are pretty self explanatory to use so you should be safe to leave at home.  The LC will be more of a help with actual feedings and latching...pumping you could do in your sleep

I didn't.  I'm not sure I would have tried it before my milk came in.  It's actually pretty easy to figure out once you give it a try.

thats a good question! i never even thought about that. then again i havent thought too much about my hospital bag yet but i dont think you will need to pack it since most hospitals have them there...
