Best baby shower ideas you have seen

I am looking for the best baby shower ideas/gifts you have ever seen. I have only been to one baby shower (my own), and I am trying to help plan my cousins. We don't want it to be a rip off of mine - so I would appreciate any help I can get.

 

I am looking for games, decorations, favors - whatever. Just fun/original ideas you saw or had at your shower. Thanks!

I loved my what my sister did for mine - in the invitation she had a nice cute little poem asking people to bring baby books instead of cards and write a cute little note in it. It was AWESOME and my daughter's bookshelf is completely overflowing already! Some people were old school and couldn't grasp the concept so they either a) didn't write in the book; or b) still brought a card.

Also - and she got this idea from Gilmore Girls - she had everyone decorate a onsie with fabric paints and stencils. It was SO cool!! She hung a 'clothesline' in our office and set up tables for people to decorate their own onsie - all sizes from newborn through 18 months. When they were done, she hung them up. I love the idea and my daughter is seriously stocked up on onsies!! Here're a few pics:

I had a make your own ice cream sunday party for one.  It was really fun.  I had it 2 pm, so a good in between time, with all the toppings and several different ice creams.

I didnt play games - which everyone LOVED.. I had a rather large shower (100 guests) so games were out of the question. Instead I gave out raffle tickets, one for attending and one if you brought a wishing well item.  We had around 12 baskets which people were allowed to select which item they wanted to try to win. (worked out well since there were alot of recovering alc's there who it wouldve been awkward if they won a bottle of wine or martni basket)

We also did what pp said about bringing a book instead of a card with a note for the baby.. Our library has a very nice start to it along with a bunch of sentimate for L..

GL! I planned my own shower and I NEVER want to plan one again!!

I thought one game at my shower was original - give each person a sheet of copy paper. 
They put their hands behind their backs and try to rip the paper into the best "baby" possible.  The results were hilarious, and I had to choose the best one as the winner.
