How to know if your milk has dried up??

I was breastfeeding for 2.5 days, hardly enough to count,before switching to formula. How exactly do you know if your milk has come in, and dried up? I had some pain and was told to wear a size smaller sports bra and apply ice. I also wore an ace bandage for the last 3 days. Now, I just need to know when I can stop with all of the madness, this ace bandage is not so friendly, and I hate looking like a 10 y.o. boy. LOL. Thanks!

No more engorgement. You probably will leak for a few more weeks though.  I recommend going and getting a head of cabbage chilling it in the fridge and putting the leaves in your sports bra.  It dries you up and helps with engorgement/pain. GL!
