One more BFing question

I know I should be asking thse ? on Breastfeeding, but you girls always have good suggestions:

Did you start pumping and giving a bottle or two a day of BM before the 3 week mark or did you wait?  I know that Lactation Consultants say to wait, but did this matter to anyone or should I wait another week?

We waited and she took a bottle just fine.  Then she refused it for a while, then took it again, and is currently refusing again.  What a terrible answer I just gave you, sorry I'm no help!

I was pumping and gave her her first bottle at 1 week.  She didn't have any problems going from breast to bottle.  GL

i started pumping right away, but he did not have his first bottle until about 2-3 weeks.  he took the bottle just fine and still does.  no nipple confusion either.  at first he had one bottle a day, and now that i'm working he has lots of bottles.

We introduced the bottle at 2 weeks and had no problems.

I started at 2 weeks. I've only recently had problemswith him fussing at the breast, but they were solved after I stopped giving a bottle for a few days and then changed to a faster nipple.

DS had jaundice and had to wear a Wallaby blanket for the first few days at home and wouldn't nurse at all so we had to give him a bottle.  After EPing for a few days, he took to the breast no problem and we've been doing one bottle a day since, no problems!

we introduced a bottle and paci the first week and have had no problems at all. LO takes all 3 nipples (mine, bottle and paci) just fine with no problems and no confusion.

I haven't given DD a bottle yet, but when I had DS I was finishing up my last semester of college and had to return to classes immediately after his birth, so he started taking bottles around a week old.  He never had problems transitioning back and forth from bottle to breast.

Avery still nurses but also gets BM and formula in a bottle and has since day one.  She does not care what the source is, as long as she is getting fed! LOL  I sent you a PM too!

we gave the bottle of bm at age 2 weeks...paci from day 1.  He still does breastfeeding really well and can transition from all just fine. 

No nipple confusion here.  The boy likes to suck on whatever. lol
