Has anyone worked with a birth doula that they would recommend? I am leaning more and more toward a natural child birth and will definitely need someone in addition to DH in the delivery room. He's not one for blood and I know will just crumble seeing me in pain. I'm delivering at Swedish but live in Issaquah.
Thanks!

Re: Doula
I'm a doula
so of course I highly recommend using one. Check out my website, on there is helpful statistics as to why it's beneficial

Congrats!
I had a doula for my second birth (vbac). Here's her website:

Sharon was a really wonderful doula and support person! I highly recommend her! She also has a blog on her website which I still thoroughly enjoy reading!
Sharon was one of my teachers!
Although we didn't use her for birth so I can't speak to that, we currently have Debra Shelden from Eastside Doula Care coming in for postpartum help (I just had a baby on 5/23) and she's been amazing! We were looking for someone with a lot of experience (we're first time parents) who also was a "straight shooter". She's also really open to whatever is right for your family vs some of the other doulas we interviewed who had specific ideas about how to do things.
She does births as well and I'm sure she would be wonderful.

Good luck!
