she types everything into her status update box, so her status is always totally effed up because she means to comment on someone's post or write on their wall-- it's so darn cute!?

My grandma has no idea what Facebook is.  She can't even figure out how to comment on my blog, so I don't think she could do it.

Seriously?!? My grandmas do not even own computers, LOL!! Although they are 90 & 85 years old, so I guess they get a pass!

But my friend just posted about how her mum keeps typing LOL for Lots of Love, she had to point out that that's not what it is.

my grandparents JUST got a touch tone phone...next step is using a remote for the tv....then maybe facebook

My step-grandma, but yes.  She doesn't know how to use it yet, though, and doesn't do any status updates.  She just joined b/c I was neglecting my blog and my mom mentioned that I updated facebook more often.  They would email me every few days (weeks?) if I didn't update my blog to make sure I was alive and ask for new pics of the girls.  Still, I find it cute that she's on there.  She and my grandpa were some of the first of their generation to get email just because they realized that was how Mom and all her siblings were communicating and they wanted in on the whole deal.  They've always been quick (for their ages) to jump into technology.  I'm tempted to get them an iPod one of these days if I see one cheap enough.  Grandpa is 86 or 87 and step-Grandma is 78ish.

lol, no they aren't on Facebook (they are deceased a long time ago) but I think that's great that your Grandma is!

I'm friends with my Granny   And with one of her friends too that I lived with in college for a couple of months.   She's actually pretty good at Facebook- but my mom does exactly what you wrote about typing everything in the status box.

LOL , this is me too...my Mom's parents were born in 1908 and 1910, not sure about my Dad's but I know his father was born in the 1800s!!!

Yes!  And my grandpa is the best.  He has alzheimers and has no idea what he's doing on FB.  He thinks to add a friend he has to type his relationship to them as his status.  It's really funny but there's no correcting him, I'm impressed he can do that much.
