TTC after 35

Doctor's Appointment

Thanks to everyone for making me feel welcome yesterday!  So I had my doctor's appointment today (just my OBGYN right now.have not gotten a referral to a RE yet).  I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed!  So much information and I don't know how to process it all.

Here's the run-down - my endo is probably back.  I get some pains during AF and occasionally at other times, but my uterus is pretty stuck and the doc said that the endo is probably why.  So I probably have a laproscopy in my future.

My uterus is also very tipped - more so than when I had my first surgery 5 years ago.  Doc says the degree of tippage (is that a word?) could be blocking any fertilized eggs from implanting.  Does this sound right?  I may have misunderstood - who knows!

He did tell me I have good CM so yay?

So I'm supposed to chart for 3 months and DH needs to go for a SA.

The thing I'm most nervous about is what happens if I do happen to get PG with the stuck uterus?  Will something tear at some point?  I'm thinking they won't be able to go in and fix it at that point if it can even be fixed....

Ugh!!  Guess it's just a waiting game for the moment?

Re: Doctor's Appointment

  • It sounds that you have a great OB. Good luck and I hope the endo is not a problem for you to get pg. Good luck.
  • I have no advice for you...but I wanted to say it sounds like  you have a good doc with a good plan!

    Good Luck!!!

  • Good luck to you! ?I don't know anything about the stuck uterus, but I would think that if your doc thought it would be a problem if you got pregnant he would tell you to abstain until after your lap. ?Hooray for good CM! ?Always wish I had more of that!

Dr appts can be an overload of information, but just take it one thing at a time (A LOT easier said then done). Good luck!
