I saw in another post that you were using Similac and now you are using Good Start. ?It sounds like my daughter is doing the same thing that your LO was doing...no poop, then a big poop every couple of days. ?Did you try any other formulas before starting Good Start? ?Do you know if Good Start has all of the same benefits as Similac..DHA,etc? ?Thanks so much in advance! ?I appreciate all advice on formula...it seems so much more complicated than it should be to find the right thing for the LOs!

We went home from the hospital with Similac not because that is what we wanted, but because that is what they started her on. The first 3 days she was home she didn't poop once. The ped. said that I should tried a few things first, then switch her if nothing else worked. Eventually we decided to change her over because it wasn't worth giving her camomile tea and taking her temp every day just to get her to poop!  The ped suggested Good Start because it is gentle on her system.. We are using the powder kind.  Yes, it has DHA and ARA and is suppose to be great for supplimenting with breastfeeding.  We didn't try anything else simply because we were told to change to this one. She is now pooping every day.. or maybe every other, but the ped said this is fine!  Let me know if you have any other questions!  Hope this helped and GL!

Thank you for the info!  We are no longer breastfeeding and only formula feeding...is Good Start ok on it's own, or only as a compliment to breast milk? Thanks again!
