clingy 18mo old! any ideas?

my 18mo dd is sooooo clingy lately,( she is normally a cuddler, but this is way more) she wants to be next to me all day and night. She's not sick, I don't see any new teeth coming in, she's usually pretty good about independent play. She usually only needs to be held for nap time and I usually lay down with her. Lately she just wants to do everything I am doing, sit next to me and hold my arm, leg, finger, shirt, whatever is in reach. I love the extra attention from her but she won't go to DH, my mom, anyone.She has even begun waking up at nite, wanting only to sleep next to me, she holds my arm while she sleeps, wakes up and cries if I leave her after she falls asleep. she even wants me to feed her again sometimes.  2mos ago, she wouldn't allow me to feed her a bite! ?a phase? ? separation anxiety? I don't mind it so much I keep teling myself this is just what she needs at this time.

Just thought I'd throw it out there, to see if this is going on with anyone else. Not compalining, I would sit on the sofa and let her snuggle up next to me 24hrs a day if it were possible!
