Do all men get married and forget how to do things on their own!?!

I love my husband, but I swear that he pretends to be helpless so that I'll just do everything for him.

We got married when he was 35, so he lived alone for many years. I can only assume that during the last 18 years or so he was capable of cleaning/getting dressed/cooking/doing laundry/driving/etc all by himself, but now that we are married he is always clueless.

Latest example: I microwaved corn for dinner in one of those prepackaged steam bags. When the timer went off I asked DH if he would get the bag.

DH: How do I open this?

Me: There is a tab on the bag. Just pull it and the top will pull off.

DH: I don't see the tab. Where is the tab?

Me: It's on the top corner of the bag.

*3 minute pause*

DH: I don't see it. I'll just cut the top off.

Me: Great idea.

DH: But where are the sissors?

Me: IN THE SAME DRAWER THEY HAVE BEEN IN SINCE WE GOT MARRIED.

That is funny! I swear my DH can't ever find anything! It could be right in front of his face and he still can't find it! I always have to end up showing him where things are!

my DH is pretty much useless...the more things I do the less he can do. Its annoying!

I told DH yesterday that I thought it was really unfair how God made men so inferior to women. I swear in the time it takes him to do one simple task I could do that and 5 more, and actually do them properly! And as far as finding things OMG! It drives me insane!

LOL! I love it, I was just commenting on this at work today. I have come to the conclusion that I must have been the "other woman" when we met because his apartment was always clean, food cooked, and laundry done. Then we got serious and it all went "poof"...its the only logical answer I have come up with!

Sigh. My DH is pretty good at being self-reliant, but there are those times where I am convinced that he asks me where things are, even though he knows, just because he knows it bugs me.
