Baby Waves or 3D u/s question

My parents are coming to visit for July 4th.  I'll be 23 weeks on July 6th (Monday).  I was wondering if that would be a good time to go to Baby Waves or if it would be too early.  I know a lot of you get 3D u/s frequently from your OBs (I'm jealous, btw), but I'll only get the Big u/s which will likely be 2D and as long as there are no problems I'm not likely to get any more.  I was planning on doing Baby Waves anyway so I could get the DVD of the sonogram see the baby 3D/4D and all that fun stuff but I'm trying to figure out when would be the best time to go.  If you did this when did you go?  If you've had a lot of 3D/4D us's, when did you get the best view of the baby?  I'm trying to strike a balance between develpment and movement because I hear if you wait too long the baby can't move around much and you can't get a good view because it's cramped in there.  TIA!

I went at almost 32w and we got some GREAT shots, but I think it would still be cool at 23w.  LO will be wiggling around like crazy!!!

Also, a lot of the 3D places have package deals where if you buy two sessions you get a huge discount.  Maybe you can look in to that and go at 23w and again a little later on... Just a thought!

Hey Kathy! We're going to do one at 24w because it's the week before my shower in NJ (we're doing it early since I have to fly there). That way we can bring the video and pics to show family and friends and also double-check the sex before we accept any gender-specific gifts!

Hi Kathy!! The place I go to said the best time to get a 3D u/s is 30ish weeks. I had mine at 31w2d and we got a very good look at our girl!  I think if you are only getting one I would wait a little longer than 23w...just my opinion though!!

When is your BIG u/s gonna be....I wanna know if baby kitty has a penis or not!!

 We're going to our 3d/4d place at 27 weeks. They said that is the prime time to go. She will have her fat and won't be too big. Can't wait! PS. what date is your big u/s??

hehe, this made me LOL.  I have my OB appt on Monday and I'll schedule my big u/s at that time.  I'm shooting for later that week or early the next...whenever they have an early slot so DH doesn't miss too much work.  I'm totally finding out so I'm so excited!!

YAY!! I am so excited for you!!! I'm thinking you will see a little nub sticking out. Just my guess though!

I also wanted to add that baby was still moving around in there at my last appt. It was weird to SEE her move as I felt her!! Hopefully you can get a package deal though and see HIM twice!

The place I went to says they take people as early as 24 wks to get good pics...we did ours at 33 wks and got great shots of her. I would see about the package deal...because if you haven't found out what you're having by then they could do it for you and you could then come back in a few weeks to see how much the baby has grown.
