My 16 month old hardly eats food. The only thing she will eat is Cheerios. Otherwise, she'll put food in her mouth and spit it out, mash it up or throw it on the floor. Anyone else go through this? When will this end?
my dd is 15 months and we have good days and bad days. mealtimes are SO stressful!! the only thing that she never rejects is sticky white rice and spinach. i make it into little balls w/some cheese and she will pick it up and eat it. have you tried giving her sticky rice before?
does your dd eat any fruit? mine will only eat diced strawberries and spits out anything else. i just keep trying to offer new things w/old things to see if she will get used to it. so far it's not working.
Nope- DS still eats purees almost exclusively (15 months). I'm not overly concerned- I talked to the pedi at his 15 month appt and she wasn't at all concerned either. I give him little pieces of whatever I'm eating for dinner and most of the time he sticks it in his mouth and spits it back out. I figure when he's ready to eat table foods, he'll do it- though sometimes I do wish he would feed himself- mealtimes would be so much easier. Pedi said as long as he's eating a good amount of purees not to worry.
I was just about to post the same question. I am also in the same boat... the only thing my dd eats is grilled cheese, pb&j, pancakes, and waffles the only fruit is bananas and that is it. She hates the 3rd food meats she spits it out and cries. ( i guess I would too) but she seems to really hate slimy food except bananas. I hope she gets over it!

we give her basmati rice, but she wont eat too much of it. she won't eat any fruit either
I'm so glad we aren't alone with not eating solids! I tried giving DD Chef Boyardee pasta & meatballs yesterday & she spit it out like it was poison! This morning for breakfast I gave her diced banana coated in crushed Cheerios (easier to pick up). I will just keep trying something different everyday!
