We both decided on the first name, and DH came up with the middle name. I'm still learning to like the middle name, it's not bad.

To the pp, Natalya is a very real name. Sometimes it is spelled Natalia. It's a Russian name.

Natalya is not made up. It is just a spelling that you apparently have not seen before.

I think your DH is overthinking a little bit. If I saw the name Natalia, I would automatically say Natal-ya as the pronouciation. I have never heard of anyone having the name said another way. I don't think may people would think it is like Natalie.

It's just like how Olivia is O-liv-e-ah, not Olive ah.?
