Apologies to all you Connecticutians but seriuously, your state is the devil.  Driving home from Virgina I think "Yay!" I'm finally in New England!! and Connecticut is a little state, so it'll be quick..

I expect New Jersey to take a long time....it's long and skinny on the map.  Maryland? Ok, I expect that to take a while, to.   But damn you, Connecticut, you're little but I have to take 84 East across your diagonal. 

I loathe your lack of bathrooms and rest areas with the fire of 1000 suns.  Even New Jersey has lovely rest stops.  But no, not you Connecticut.  You tease me with signs for a rest area that closes at dusk.  You show gas stations that haven't been there since the oil crisis in the 70's.

Why don't you fly back & forth from MA? IAD is only minutes from Ashburn.

My husband and I say this every single time we make that drive (and we make it several times a year).  I'm sure it's a lovely place to live, but it's horrible to drive through.  It never effing ends!!!!!

It's like 10 minutes from their house.  Seriously, they live right off of waxpool in those carisbrooke houses.

We've done that twice.  Once with a five-month-old.  Fun times.
