Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

My dog likely has cancer :(

We just moved into our new house, everything had finally seemed to be going in the right direction for us. Sunday night Teva threw up and was a little lethargic, which isn't out of the ordinary for him. But then all day yesterday he slept and refused to eat. I took him to DHs work at the end of his shift. They did an ultrasound to see if he had an obstruction because he has been known to get into bad things for doggies to eat. The ultrasound showed a mass in his belly, not attatched to anything...so likely lymphoma. They took a biopsy and we should know by Friday the final results, but my eyes are so puffy I can hardly see. I keep praying it is nothing, but...the odds are against us. DH already decided he will do chemo and pred until it looks like he isn't comfortable. That will likely buy him 6 months or so....

I am just not ready to lose him....

i'm so sorry!  my cat just had a mass removed so i went through the same thing.  (i didn't get the lump tested b/c my cat is 14 & i knew i didn't want to do chemo -- he hates going to the vet).  i wish you the best.

  • Thanks ladies...My heart almost burst this morning when I picked DD up out of her crib and all she would say was "puppy" and point to him. She wanted down so I let her go and she ran to him and he just stood there waggling his tail. It was the most adorable thing EVER!
