Shaking head back and forth?

Does anyone's LO shake their head back and forth like they're trying to see around you?  I noticed my son started doing this over the weekend and it seemed strange.  My husband decided to panic and call his mother and now SHE'S all panicky and wants me to take him to a doctor.  I really don't think we need to do that.

Re: Shaking head back and forth?

  • yes.  dd does this all the time.  although now it's turning into more of no shaking like when i put her down on the changing table and she shakes her head back and forth and whines.  if i say, "yes, yes, yes" she'll shake her head like she's saying, "no, no, no".

i'm not sure why they are freaking out about it.  just call the pedi and ask, but honestly i doubt it's a big deal.

  • I didn't think it was a big deal, either.  Nothing has happened to him other than usual tumbles and he's never had a major injury.

That's really cute about your DD!

  • DD just started doing that. It's almost like she has brain freeze. I have been chalking it up to teething. She's been congested because of it and her ears have been bothering her. SO I thought the shaking her head could be because her ears feel clogged. She stopped doing it when the funk came out of her ears.?

?If you want to have the pedi set everyone straight, then go for it. There's not harm in a phone call.?

  • All the time! Now it  is a mocking thing and a joke but he has been doing this for months, specially in his high chair.
