Just finished reading Ferber, and ready to try it soon. But I am wondering the key differences between ferber and sleepeasy solution, which I know nothing about. I am not sure if I should read this, too, and decide which one to use.
Anyone give me a basic summary to help me decide if I should read it? TIA!
Re: how is sleepeasy solution different from ferber?
I think they are very similar. I have not read Ferber but I think he says you can touch the baby when you "check". SleepEasy says not too. I know touching her during checks would have just made it all that much worse.
Sleep Easy is 5/10/15 min checks. You console them for no more than 30-60 sec & leave. It addresses bedtime routines & sample schedules for all ages. It talks about how to handle all ages & how to wean night feeds. It explains how to train naps now or later also.
It was a major life saver for us. But in the end, I think it's just like Ferber. Graduated CIO with the checks.
