I know this is probably a dumb question, but what do you do for baby at the pool? ?I've been looking online at diaper covers, as I know our town pool requires plastic swim pants, but I also have bought Pampers Splashers for her, and have heard that they are pretty useless as a diaper...
What do you use for baby? ?Is there any trick to keeping us and our things dry from pee? ?It seems all of these are really only for poop -- some sites even say they mean for pee to pass through them! ?
She is my first, and I'm clearly not getting something... ?TIA!?
Re: What diaper/diaper cover for baby in pool?
Yeah we have those swim diapers for DS but they are really only to catch poop. ?I don't get it either, but I guess the material that makes it absorbent to pee would also make it absorbent to water, so therefore in order to make it a swim diaper, it isn't supposed to absorb liquid, it's only meant to keep the poo in!
So we usually put DS in a regular diaper, then switch into a swim diaper right before he gets in the pool, then switch him right out after we've finished. ?I learned the hard way once when I put DS in the carseat with a swim diaper and was confused as to why he was sitting in a puddle of his pee when I went to take him out!! ?So gross.....?
I just bought a back of Huggies Little Swimmers. Their website has a whole list of FAQ's about them...
Anyway, the few times DD has been in the pool, it was only for a few minutes. But we changed her in and out of a regular diaper before and after the pool.
