Babies: 9 - 12 Months

seattle mamas: recs needed

I'm coming to Seattle for a few days in a couple of weeks and need some ideas on where to go with DS... We're thinking maybe the zoo and aquarium as we don't have anything in our small, little town.  Anything else that an 11monther would get a kick out of???

Re: seattle mamas: recs needed

  • The Woodland Park Zoo & Seattle Aquarium are both excellent ideas. A third great one is the Seattle Children's Museum, which has fantastic activities and attractions for an 11-month old. It's at Seattle Center, which also has other kid-friendly stuff going on.

Check out the Parentmap website for more info and ideas.

  • Don't get too excited about the aquarium. It's neat, but it's small, so don't build up crazy expectations :o)?

A walk around Green Lake (which is right next to the Woodland Park Zoo) is a lot of fun. There are basketball hoops and grass to play on, and it's just a peaceful walk.

I second all of the things Gabby said! If your LO is a crawler, they will love the Children's Museum! So much to do.

When are you coming here? ?

  • Loading the player...
  • Check out the pike place market too.
  • The waterfront is a neat little stroll. You can see the mummy and get a two headed nickel at Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe.

Or go to Alki if you're blessed enough to have some sun.

Eat at _Dick's if you love hamburgers and Spuds on Alki if you love fish. Yummy.

  • There is also the Seattle Science Center, which is great for little ones and DHs -- lots of hands-on stuff.?
