Shoes shoes shoes...

I went out today in search of a pair of comfy sandals for Jo.?

I left with 3 new pairs of shoes. 2 pairs of cute sandals and 1 pair of ADORABLE WHITE PATENT LEATHER SQUEEEEEEEEEAAAAKY shoes.

They squeak and my child is thoroughly impressed. I had never seen these before so if you're all like "yawn yes the US has had these for 400 years," you bore me, go away!

But the best part is that you can take out the squeak and pop it right back in again when you want to annoy your neighbours.

I LOVE SHOOOOOES?

Re: Shoes shoes shoes...

  • I was very amused by this. That could be partly due to my utter exhaustion...

Oh, my friend told me about these, but the store where she saw them went out of business before I could check them out.  She mentioned that they were good to encourage non-walkers to get a move on.  What is the brand, if you don't mind?

I have no idea. I know it had "squeaky" in the title. We got 2 pairs in the discounted section (yay) and so they didnt' have all their happy wrapping.

?I'm hoping that the squeaking will help Jo get a move on.??

  • That squeaking is going to be the death of your eardrums, lanie. You will be sleeping and dreaming of the squeak, squeak! I could not wait for Jack to walk...now, if only he would stay one place for more then 5 secs.
  • My friends lil girl has a pair of those and they are great!  She wanders all the time and when we cant hear the squeaks we look for her.  Not that we wander far, but we went to a school fair and I am so glad she had those on!  And actually another little girl her age (they are 2) had the same shoes on and came up to her and they started talking! lol

Also if anyone is interested I know someone who sells them for girls for $10.  I am not sure if thats a good price or not, I was going to get some but she dont have boy ones!

Go you for buying one of the brands of those devil shoes that have removable squeakers. There are several brands that aren't removable- ugh ugh ugh. :)

I'm loving my fetus right now for having girlie parts, though- Gabe's shoes can be cute, but, girl shoes are something else. She has more footwear than clothing right now, if you don't count the gender neutral handmedowns.

Not to change the subject.  But I told DF that if we have a girl she is going to ahve so many cute girl clothes, shoes and bows we arent going to have enough space to put it!  And yes the boys shos are nothing compared to the girl ones!   I spent 20 mins looking at girl shoes the other day!

Could you take a picture of the shoes?  I'm being serious.  I need some inspiration, particularly with sandals.  Maddie needs sandals for summer, but she isn't walking yet and, you know, the tiny feet and all.  Side note: her 0-6 socks are finally too small.
