can you recommend your high chair

Hi All -?

I am in the process of registering for my LO and I was looking at high chairs. We looked at them in the store and we decided to go with a Graco one as the reviews in Baby Bargains were good and it folded very easily. It was between that and the Chicco one. We felt the chicco was harder to fold up and change recline/height.

Graco Contempo Chair - Deco?

?So I was reading the reviews on BRU and I saw that the cover is not machine washable. I can;t seem to find out if it comes off at all either. I am worried since the fabric that we chose was light colored (that was a concern for me) but I thought you could throw it in the machine.

So now we are back to square one. I also read that the Chicco one was no machine washable either but it does remove.

So any pros/cons to either of these or please recommend yours.

Thanks

Ruth?

  • For DD we are using the Fisher Price Space Saver high chair & we love it!  It is so convenient & can easily be packed up if we are going somewhere!

  • We have a Chicco, and it's ok, but huge. I hate that the brakes sometimes get locked by accident, just by someone bumping the leg, and then I have to swivel them around trying to figure out which one is locked and preventing me from scooting DS around easily. Not a huge deal, but annoying after awhile. If we had it to do over again, I'd get a FP space saver high chair. We rented one once and I liked it a lot more than I thought I would.?

  • I have the Chicco Polly and it is ok. There are things I don't like about it, but I think there are things that I could find I didn't like about all of them.

I love the recline, and the fact that the Chicco comes with two removable trays. The seat cover just sprays clean with a kitchen cleaner and paper towel.I also like the adjustable height.

Things I don't like... the seat belt shoulder straps suck like no other and the tray is hard to lock into place.

If I could do it again, I would get the space saver.

I have the exact high chair you linked and I love it.  I haven't had to take the cover off to wash it yet because everything just wipes right off the material.  We've been using it four about 3 months.

  • I have the Combi Hero and really like it. ?It's easy to clean, the straps and cover can go in the washer, and the legs come off so it can be used as a booster like the FP space saver.

  • If you like the Graco Contempo, you could get the Pebblestone which is vinyl and very easy to clean. We really like it.
