I bathe my DS in one of those inflatable small tubs you find at BRU (which of course sits in the regular tub). How do you know when they are ready to leave that and just take a bath in the regular tub? The inflatable one I have has a hole in it and I'm thinking of just thowing it out and not bother to get a new one but I'm not sure if he is still too youg. Just curious what others are doing.
Re: Who bathes their DC in the regular bath tub?
we do! we were also using the inflatable ducky tub but she grew out of it... not size wise but just wanted out. she wasn't thrilled about being in it anymore and wanted to be in the big tub.
she loves it.
We started DS when he could sit up. He loves it. He also bathes with his big brother.
My boys LOVE bathing together!
We started DS in the regular bathtub when he was 3 months old. Prior to that he screamed bloody murder through bath time. He bathes with DH so I think he just started to feel more confident being in daddy's arms. Then he really started loving it, he'd kick and splash and have a great time.
DS started taking more solo baths around 9-10 months. Still loves playing and splashing with all his toys. He's going to start a swim class next month too so hopefully we can keep encouraging this love of water.
We started using the regular tub around 13 months. His legs were too long for his little Munckin inflatable duck.
Since she was almost 6 months old. We went to the beach and didn't want to pack a tube and the kitchen sink was always full with all my family there so we used the bathtub. DD wouldn't take a bath not in the tub after that.
Now we say "Rosa do you want to take a bath?" and She squees and runs towards the bathroom. I am pretty sure if she could take off more than her pants she would be nakie by the time she got there.
