Help me decide... (clicky poll inside)

If the boys have a good day tomorrow and we can get them to go to bed without too much trouble right on time (I know, the stars have to be in alignment) my DH and I might try to let my mother babysit and go catch our first movie in a year and a half!

This is particularly sad because we are big movie buffs and met in college while managing megaplex movie theatres.  I can't even remember what the last movie was that I saw in the theatre, so I want to make this movie good.

Since it's Memorial Day weekend (the busiest weekend in the movie theatre industry) we have to decide early what we want to watch. What should we go see?

  • Not that this means anything, but a local radio show was talking about these movies just today.  They saw all of them and said that Star Trek was the only one that lived up to the hype and was really good.
  • Okay, so I've been a Trekkie all my life (not a weirdo Trekkie, but a fan). We saw the movie last weekend (our first in a year), and I LOVED it. Best Star Trek movie ever.

I think the Terminator movie looks really good, but scary. I just can't handle "end of mankind" type movie plots since having kids. They scare me too much.

I don't really know much about the others, so I can't advize about them.

    Have a GREAT time tomorrow!!

  • Star Trek was FANTASTIC, even as a non-Trek person.

Also, it's been out a couple of weeks, so it might be died down a little (It was our first movie since Max *last* weekend! LOL)

Night at the Museum is supposed to be adorable, but this is its first weekend and will be overrun with kids, which, not to sound harsh, but you're getting *away* from kid noise! LOL

  • I agree with pp....You are supposed to be getting away from the kids.

The only one of these I have seen was Wolverine, and I LOVED it! Have fun!
