Garage Sale and Selling dd's clothes.

I am having a garage sale in June and am selling all of DD's clothes. I am asking $2 per item. And $5 for coats. Does that sound reasonable? I have already had two girls come other and buy some stuff for their dd's. I have made $175 so far and still have 5 tubs full of clothes.

  • Depends on the condition.  Also, if you are willing to take less if asked - or 1/2 off in the afternoon or day 2.

  • Seems fair... I agree w/Alexandra's mom if the quality is bad than negotiate.

  • No, the funny thing is, I am so anal about her clothes. I would rather see them go to people I know that some stranger. I take so much time with both of my dc's clothes that I am having a hard time parting with them. lol I know it's weird. I figured $2 was reasonable. I would love to ask more for her clothes because of the condition they are in. She is very good with her clothes.
  • If they are in good condition I think you could ask a bit more.  I was thrilled when I found DD's Easter dress at a consignment sale for $4.  T-shirts you probably couldn't get much more than $2, but for dresses or cute sets I think you could.
  • My goal with my yard sale was to get stuff out of the house, so I think that's why we have different pricing ideas.

I priced all clothes at $.25/each.   Everythign cheap.   *MY* yard sale was over by 10am.  Neener Neener :)

(I realize that not everyone does a yard sale becuase they are lazy.  That's just me :)Stick out tongue
