Ugh, WWYD?

Ella has been miserable for the last 2 days. Cranky, not sleeping, miserable. (I think she is cutting teeth) She slept horribly last night and only took a 25-30 minute nap this morning, which is usually 3-4 hours. She just went back into her crib 5 minutes ago and I think she is going to fall asleep again.

Here is my problem. She has Early Intervention @ 2:30. If she is sleeping I want her to sleep. Should I just cancel it for this week? WWYD?

Re: Ugh, WWYD?

  • I would probably still try to go and just let them know she's tired.  But I don't know much about EI.  Is there a contact person you can call to ask their opinion?

  • I wouldn't cxl... I treat EI appt's like gold. Just let her sleep 'til the app't. if she's still fussing and you think she's cutting teeth, try a little tylenol to help her get through the session.

    good luck.

  • She has been given Tylenol. My fear is that I wake her up when they arrive and then she is miserable, making thr appointment useless because she won't leave my side.
  • our EI team rather have us cancel mainly because it really wont be a productive session if the child is tired and cranky!

We've had to cancel a few session for this reason...but they always schedule a make up day.
