Yelling in sleep?

A few minutes ago, DD like yelled/cried.. but it was just a single scream..I went upstairs and she was still SOUND asleep.. not even restless.. Is this normal? Why would it happen?

    It happens occasionally for us as well.  DD is a vivid dreamer so she'll also cry intermittedly or smile in her sleep.

    We refer to them as bad dreams here. He will shout a couple quick times, sounding like he's terrified but then he's back asleep solid. I imagine it's normal.

    hadley does it too. i think it's either a bad dream or gas pain.

    Tyler does this all of the time.  We say it's b/c he's having nightmares about not having enough food to eat.  :)

    EC cries out in her sleep every so often.  She will also giggle while sleeping sometimes.  She's done both since she was born.
